A Fairview man, 34 years old, was recently arrested on suspicions that he has sexually assaulted a juvenile female acquaintance over the past four years.
Law enforcement officials said the girl is under the age of 13.
The alleged assaults took place in both Fairview and Cliffside Park, officials claimed.
The alleged abuse was initially reported to the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency, which then filed a report with the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
Investigators with the prosecutor's office then looked into the allegations with the police departments of Fairview and Cliffside Park.
The Fairview man faces two counts of aggravated sexual assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child; he faces a count on each charge in Cliffside Park and Fairview, officials said.
He's in custody at the Bergen County Jail in lieu of $300,000 bail and ordered to have no contact with the girl in question.
Last month, another Fairview man, 37, was arrested and accused of sexually assaulting a female acquaintance, 14 years old.
Early in September, another man, 20, was charged in a February burglary and sexual assault on two female juveniles in the house.
Back in March, another Fairview man, 46, was arrested in connection with a sexual assault in Cliffside Park in 2001. He was accused of assaulting a female who was then 16 years old.
He was also charged in a separate case of sexually assaulting another female several years ago over a period when she was 13 and 14 years old.
Also in March, a Cliffside Park man was charged with sexual assault on a 15-year-old female.
